Gold Fever -book

Self Published Book

A4 (210mm x 297mm)

Gold Fever' is a journey through the main gold producing regions of Ghana exploring how fluctuations in price as decided by the world’s financial markets affect the environment, the culture and the people of Africa’s second largest gold producer.

The story is told through a collection of my own images and research with excerpts from interviews and conversations with legal and illegal miners, their managers, mine executives, politicians and community leaders, chiefs and traditional rulers and of course the people who live in areas affected by the pursuit of gold.

The book also looks at the long standing global fascination with this unique, enigmatic metal and explores it's otherworldly, extraterrestrial qualities through the places where and conditions under which it is extracted.
